Agriculture engineering in proposed IIT soughtAgriculture engineering in proposed IIT sought Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy has asked the Union Human Resource Development Ministry to include agriculture engineering as one of the core branches of the proposed IIT. The new discipline can encompass aspects like soil and water engineering, water resources development and management, farm mechanisation and power, post harvest technology, dairy and food processing engineering, aquaculture engineering and agricultural systems management. In a letter to the HRD Ministry, Dr. Reddy thanked the Government for sanctioning the IIT and said the modern temple would cater to the needs of aspiring students. More : hindu.com
