Apropos Ayaz Memons A game or two for Gandhi (DNA.Sunday, March 11), I am surprised that he is not aware that MK Gandhi was a member of the MCC team which visited India.

His signature as 17th player of the MCC on an autograph sheet belonging to Vijay Merchants sister is evidence of that fact. Gandhiji stated he had no ill will towards the British and felt like being a member of the MCC team. This is published in a small pamphlet on cricket written by Vijay Merchant and released by the Publications Division, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, New Delhi, about 40 years ago.
