Guinness Supports Technology InstituteDetermined to help develop local capacity for industrial development, Guinness Nigeria Plc, has resented a grant of N5 million to the Institute for Industrial Technology (IIT), Kosofe, Lagos The presentation followed a similar one, made two weeks earlier, to the Sickle Cell Foundation of Nigeria. The companys Supply Director, Mr. Doug Nicholls said, at the presentation that the donation was made to fulfil the vital role which education, especially technical knowledge, plays in the socio-economic development of the nation and its corporate social responsibility efforts. Apart from empowering the youths in whose hands the future rests, the gesture is also aimed at deepening the Nigerian economy through technical knowledge which is in conformity with the companys policy of active and constructive engagement with the society at large and its host community in particular, he said.
