Homecoming for another batch of IIT-K alumniHomecoming for another batch of IIT-K alumni MORE THAN 200 alumni of the 1982 batch reached the Indian Institute of Technology (II-K) here today to participate in the silver jubilee celebrations at their alma mater. Most of the alumni, settled in the USA and other countries, came with their family, and expressed surprise at the changes on the IIT campus. The alumni took a tour of the old hostel building and shared memories with their family. The convenor of the 35th meet of the alumni, Dr Rajiv Shekhar, has made elaborate arrangements for the guests at the institute. The IIT looks forward to support from the batch, said top officials. Meanwhile, the 1972 and the 1977 batch alumni, left after a four-day stay. Two students of the 1972 batch, Rakesh Ghandhi and his wife Manju, offered to set up a chair for a professor and donated $ one lakh for the fund for the purpose. More : hindustantimes.com
