iBilt Technologies launches RM2006

iBilt Technologies Ltd has launched RM2006, the latest version of its bridge design software for the Indian construction market in partnership with TDV - Austria.

Headquartered in New Delhi, iBilt also plans to commence operations in Mumbai soon.

Part of the multi-billion dollar Thapar Conglomerate, the company has been working on various bridge infrastructure projects with client’s like- DMRC, IIT- Delhi, Afcons, LandT, etc in India since 2001.

RM2006 is a 4-D software that aids complete analysis and designing of bridges with any 3-D geometry and any type of stage construction sequence.

India has been undergoing infrastructure build out over the past couple of years and is expected to maintain this with big projects like the golden quadrilateral, metro projects in cities and railways expanding their network.

In keeping with the growth, iBilt Technologies is also looking to set up a centre of excellence with 50 engineers with a focus to provide customer support, the company said in a statement.

Explaining the features of the software, Rajiv Aggarwal, vice president, iBilt Technologies, said, “This software allows the designer to try alternatives or fine tune the structure thereby providing the opportunity to create the most economical package on material cost, construction ease and construction time.”

Elaborating on the company’s outlook, he added, “As a turnkey IT solutions provider, we plan to utilize our global hands-on experience towards building the emerging Indian infrastructure and economy.”

The latest version RM2006 has additional features including grade separated intersections with complicated geometries, continuous structures with precast construction technologies, long span bridges requiring effects of precamber, fabrication shapes, non linear behaviour in geometry and materials et al. Specifically the new module of ‘Wind Dynamics’ (the numerical simulation of wind tunnel test) is included which will reduce the time and cost for wind tunnel tests required during designing the structures.
