IIT aspirants a confused lot

Mumbais IIT-JEE aspirants are a confused lot. With the the IIT, yet unclear on whether the reservation policy would be adopted, the students fear it would upset their admission process, leading to a delay in the commencement of the academic session.

Identifying themselves as the unfortunate batch, the IIT aspirants grumble over the confusion prevailing in the countrys premium institution, the IITs over the admission process.

They also fear that unclear about the admission process, the IITs would postpone the announcement of the JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) result. The Human Resource Development (HRD) ministry sounds to be adamant over their decision of implementation of the 27 per cent Other Backward Castes (OBC) quota from the coming academic year. This year the JEE had appeared to be easier as compared to the earlier years, thus leading to more number of students cracking JEE with highest score. If the seats are reserved for the OBC students and the IIT fails to increase the number of seats, we fear that the cut-off may be higher, said an aggrieved IIT aspirant Abhishek Upadhaya.
