IIT gears up for TechfestIIT gears up for Techfest Come January and citys techno buffs will head for IIT-Bombays Techfest 2007. And to give the 10-year-old festival a new twist, the students have promised to come up with solutions for problems that hamper infrastructural development in the state. The students took out a procession from the medical college to Motijheel area, shouting slogans against Union Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss. This was the largest donation by the former students to IIT Kanpur. Former student Udai Pratap Singh said the batch would provide financial assistance for scholarship to needy students. He said the 1972 batch had been considering to provide Rs 5 lakh to the institute.
