IIT-K students plan demo during Rahuls visitIIT-K students plan demo during Rahuls visit While Congress leaders here were busy making arrangements for Tuesdays roadshow of party MP Rahul Gandhi, students of IIT-Kanpur, associated with Youth for Equality opposing the reservation in higher educational institutions, are planning to stage a demonstration. According to district Congress office, the plane carrying Gandhi would land at IIT premises on Tuesday and later his roadshow would move in different parts of the city. About 52 posts of teachers were lying vacant at the Institute. Besides, with the implementation of the OBC quota in phases would also require additional teaching staff. According to sources, by July 2007 there would be 175 students under the phase one of quota implementation programme.
