Its a battle for location of an Indian Institute of Technology in Rajasthan

With the Centre giving a green signal to setting up of an Indian Institute of Technology in Rajasthan, representatives from the different regions of the State have started wooing the power corridors to establish the prestigious academy at their place.

The frontrunner is Kota city, which has presented its candidacy claiming that it already has the maximum number of coaching centres for IIT and medical aspirants from across the country.

The city also claims to have a major railhead on the national trunk route, well-connected roads, electricity, land and water.

Hard nut IIT-JEE to have a soft shell Good news for all IIT aspirants. The hard to crack entrance examination, IIT-JEE, is set to get simpler. This year, IIT-JEE candidates will be required to appear for two papers and not three. The IIT-JEE 2007 will be held on April 8.
