Key Venture Partners Promotes Vaibhav Nalwaya to Vice PresidentLater-stage venture capital firm Key Venture Partners (KVP) has promoted Vaibhav Nalwaya to the position of vice president. In this role, Mr. Nalwaya will focus on deal flow in wireless and mobile communications and provide senior guidance and support to KVP portfolio companies as the firm continues to invest its second fund. KVPs collaborative and active investment style, combined with our investment and domain expertise, enables us to contribute to the success of our later-stage portfolio companies, both pre- and post-close, said David Dame, Managing Director of Key Venture Partners. As a senior associate, Vaibhav has been instrumental in guiding our portfolio companies through the challenges organizations face as they scale and transition from milestones to financial measures of success. His promotion reflects the contribution he has made to date, as well as the key role he will play in the management of our existing and future funds. Currently a board member of GT3, Mr. Nalwaya serves as a board observer for airBand, Axentis and WHITTMANHART, and is actively involved with KVP portfolio companies airwide solutions and Nexxar. A committed member of Bostons entrepreneurial community, he is a Charter Member of the Boston chapter of TiE (Talent, Ideas, Enterprise) and a mentor for Springboard Enterprise, a national non-profit organization accelerating womens access to the equity markets. Mr. Nalwaya recently served as a judge at the Northeast Regional Venture Capital Investment Competition and the TiE Young Entrepreneurs Business Plan Competition. Vaibhav Nalwaya joined Key Venture Partners in 2000 from Deloitte, where he worked with multinational clients on a variety of information technology engagements. At Deloitte, he performed in technical and operational roles in multiple areas including IT strategy, process re-engineering and optimization, technology infrastructure, and software development and implementation. Prior to joining Deloitte, be conducted research on enhanced oil recovery techniques at the University of Michigan. Mr. Nalwaya earned an MS in engineering from the University of Michigan and a BS in engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT).
