Select global bidding to close mining in Karnataka: SCSelect global bidding to close mining in Karnataka: SC The Supreme Court has directed the government to select an agency through global bidding process to draw up and implement a detailed plan for the closure of mining activities in Kudremukh forest area of Karnataka. The order came from a Bench headed by Chief Justice YK Sabharwal, which asked Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi to draw up detailed terms for the work to be done by the agency and submit a report to it within four weeks for further directions.
