The elite engineering institutes are kickstarting their placement procedures from the first week of December. This year, salaries are expected to go up by 15-20%. Every year, nearly 1,000 engineering students graduate from the seven IITs and are eligible to apply for their final recruitments. Nearly 240-300 companies recruit students across each IIT campus. This year, hot favourites among students are companies in the financial, analytics and banking sector, as well as companies in their core branches.
